This is actually the same recipe as the homemade burgers, just cooked as a single loaf. Serve with garlic mash and a salad.
Ingredients
2 lbs ground beef (8-93% lean)
1 egg, beaten
3 tbsp worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp heavy cream
3 tbsp Italian breadcrumbs
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
2 tsp garlic salt
1 tsp seaoning salt
Ketchup (for topping, optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350º F. Lightly grease a glass loaf pan.
Blend all the ingredients together thoroughly. Shape into a loaf and place into the glass pan.
Bake for ~1h, or until the middle internal temperature reaches at least 165º F throughout.
NOTE: The ends will usually get to about 180-190 before the very middle reaches 165. It varies for different ovens. You can also try cooking at a lower temperature for a longer period of time.
When it reaches temp, you can add ketchup on top of the meatloaf and cook for another 5 min to make a tasty, simple glaze.
