Almost the same cookie recipe from the Salted Caramel Chocolate Chip Bars. Cut in half, since you probably don't want 60 cookies. Probably...
Ingredients
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
½ cup packed light brown sugar
¼ cup granulated sugar
1 large eggs
½ tsp vanilla extract
½ tsp baking soda
1¼ cups all purpose flour
1 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Can also use milk chocolate or peanut butter chips, or a combination
1½ tsp salt
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350º F.
Line a 9 x 13" baking dish and grease heavily (use 9 x 9" dish if you're cutting the recipe in half).
In an electric mixer bowl, beat the softened butter with both sugars until light and fluffy. Beat longer than you think it necessary (about 5-7 min).
Add the eggs, vanilla, salt, and baking soda. Mix well, then scape the ides of the dowl with a spatula, and mix again to blend the extra from the sides.
Turn the speed to low and add the flour. Combine, then mix the chocolate chips.
Using a non-stick baking sheet (or cover with parchment paper), place 1 tbsp drops of dough onto the sheet, about 2" apart. You should fit about 12/sheet.
Bake for 11-13 min. Remove from oven, and allow to cool for 2 min before removing from tray.
