Cream Cheese Frosting

Servings: 5-6 cups of frosting


Ingredients

  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese​ (softened)
  • 1½ sticks (¾ cup) butter (softened)
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4-5 cups powdered sugar (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Mix together the butter and cream cheese in stand mixer until smooth.
     
  2. Add in the vanilla extract until well mixed.
     
  3. Sift in the powedered sugar ½ cup at a time, making sure that the sugar is fully mixed before adding the next ½ cup. Taste the mixture after 4 cups to see whether or not you need the next two, and add accordingly.
