Cranberry Relish

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup apple juice or orange juice
    • Note: if apple juice (which is better) use only ½ cup sugar
  • ½-¾ cup sugar
     
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
     
  • ¼ tsp round nutmeg
     
  • Dash of ground cloves
     
  • 12 oz (~3 cups) cranberries
     
  • ½ cup light raisins (optional)
     
  • ½ cup chopped pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, add juice, spices, sugar, and berries over medium heat.
     
  2. Simmer mixture until the berries pop.
     
  3. Optional: add raisins/chopped pecans.
     
  4. Pour into baking dish or storage container, and let cool before serving.
