Baked Tilapia

A tasty and buttery talipia that's easy to prepare, season, and make, without drying it out.


Ingredients

  • 8 tilapia fillets
     
  • 1/2 tsp salt
     
  • ¼  tsp ground black pepper
     
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
     
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
     
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
     
  • 6 tablespoons butter, split in half
     
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
     
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
     
  • ½-¾ cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
     

  2. Season tilapia with salt, pepper, paprika, thyme, and oregano; arrange fish in a 9x13 baking dish.
     

  3. Melt 3 tbsp butter in a pan and cook the garlic for a few min. Then add remaining butter to melt, and mix in lemon juice. Pour over tilapia.
     

  4. Bake tilapia for 12 minutes, or until fish flakes and is fork-tender (thickest parts will temp at 145°F).
